Storage and security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal information we hold against loss, unauthorised access, use, modification, disclosure or other misuse.

Depending on the information involved, these measures may include access controls, password protection, secure systems, limited staff access and reputable technology or storage providers.

While we take reasonable precautions, no internet transmission, email system or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We will respond to requests in accordance with the timeframes and requirements of the Privacy Act 2020.

We may need to confirm your identity before providing access to personal information.

In some circumstances the Privacy Act allows us to refuse or limit access to certain information. If that applies, we will explain the reason where required by law.

Requests to delete information

You may ask us to delete personal information we hold about you.

Although the Privacy Act 2020 does not provide a general right to require deletion in every circumstance, we will consider reasonable deletion requests.

We may need to retain some information where it remains reasonably necessary for legal, contractual, warranty, accounting, insurance, dispute-resolution or other legitimate business purposes.

We will not use your details for unrelated electronic marketing unless permitted by law or you have agreed to receive those communications.

You can ask us to stop sending marketing communications at any time.
